Grammie's Girls

Grammie's girls have been busy.....and Grammie has been busy too.

Rylee is an active 3 year old. She loves to swim and is taking swimming lessons 2 days a week. She is also a great little gymnast. She also has gymnastics 2 days a week. It's been a while since I have been able to take pictures of her, but I will try to get some posted soon.

Emma is an active little thing too....she loves to play on the floor with all her toys. She is now 9 months old and is growing and changing all the time. Emma and I made cookies last weekend while she was at my house. This was her first experience making cookies with Grammie!

I hope to see both of the girls this coming weekend....maybe we can make Valentine cookies and get some cute pictures.

Wow What A Weekend

I had a great weekend, enjoying my birthday with some of my family and friends. Saturday night I went out with BJ and Annette. It was a girls night, dinner and a movie. Or for those of us that just have to mix things up a little, movie and dinner. They even surprised me with a gift certificate for a spa!

Jessica, Emma and I drove down to Springfield to meet my parents for lunch at Pasta House on Sunday......which is my all time favorite place to eat. Now it is Emma's favorite place too. Emma was 9 months old on Sunday and she got a big surprise.....her very own Pasta House Lasagna. She loved it!!!!!!!! It was a fun day and a great weekend.

I felt like I had to go back to work yesterday just to relax, but work has been busy these days. I am planning a conference in May in St. Louis. I will be the first to preach work life balance, but know that I will be busier than usual at work the next few months.

I hope to share lots of stories with you about the girls.....and even some stories about my nieces and nephews.

Good Night

What a wonderful day! I had a great time today, hearing from family and friends. I also received a number of e-greetings at work. Some friends joined me this evening to celebrate my birthday....we spent the evening in Peoria, listening to a Christian band and meeting some new friends. I am tired, but it was a lot of fun. And one of the best parts --- as we were heading home I listened to "Happy Birthday" one more time. This time it was on voice mail from two of my favorite nephews. Cody and Cole had called and left me Birthday Greetings as only a 5 and 6 year old can! Thanks boys --- Auntie Kim (aka Grammie Kim) loves you!!!

Birthday's are a Blessing

Rylee called me this morning singing "Happy Birthday to you......Happy Birthday Grammie Kim." There is something wonderful about the song of a 3 year old. Rylee is so sweet and such a joy to spend time with. We love to make cookies, sing songs and just spend time together. She is getting to be such a big girl, but she will always be the first reason that I am a Grammie.

Grammie's Girls Christmas 2008

Here's a picture of Emma and Rylee at Grammie's house for Christmas. They are the sweetest girls! I am blessed to have these two special girls to spoil.

They are both so much fun. Rylee and I made Christmas cookies, Emma loved the Christmas tree lights and they were both excited about the gifts.

My First Post

I really like reading blogs and have decided it is time to start my own. I have two beautiful granddaughters and love to take pictures of them. This will be a great way for me to actually do something with the pictures that I take.

Also, I really like to travel and have had the wonderful opportunity to go on some great trips in the last few years. Again, a way to share my pictures with family and friends.

So here goes --- something new for "Grammie Kim."
